This tea time treat includes a classic South African flavour – rooibos! Not only is it the beverage of choice for many of us (me included) but it can be used in baking and cooking to add a delicate, sweet and earthy taste. I have been wanting to play around with this flavour for a while and decided that I’d start with biscotti.

We are a house of pizza lovers, but sometimes it’s nice to mix it up a little and make something other than the regular cheese and tomato feast. This is where lahmacun (essentially a dough flatbread topped with a minced meat mixture) is a very tasty alternative. These apple buns are such a treat and my family has requested them many times since I first tested the recipe a few weeks ago. I was so happy with the way they came out! And to make them extra special they’re topped with a caramel flavoured cream cheese icing, need I say more?

These chocolate squares of deliciousness are such a treat and I’ve been looking forward to sharing this recipe with you. The squares are filled with sweet coconut and a layer of creamy date caramel, so good!

They are another one of those treats that evoke childhood memories of family gatherings, Easter craft projects and feeling impatient during the Easter Sunday morning church service knowing that there would a chocolate egg hunt afterwards! And of course the memory of enjoying fresh hot cross buns over the Easter weekend.
I’ve been making these flatbreads for my family lately and they have been such a hit that I just had to share the recipe. These versatile flatbreads can be enjoyed in so many ways, and don’t contain yeast making them quick and easy to prepare.
