It’s time for another cake recipe! Several weeks ago I was asked to bake an apple cake for Miss M’s class to enjoy as a treat as part of their winter festival on their last day of term. Something simple but beautiful, and of course delicious. I turned to my recipe books for some inspiration and decided to go with an Ottolenghi apple cake recipe – as usual, it did not disappoint!

Time for another healthy snack recipe. Ha ha, I wish! But you have to treat yourself every now and then, yes? I realised recently that I have never posted a doughnut recipe until now, so let me make up for that with these baked mini chocolate mousse doughnuts.

Bakers, it is time to dust off those aprons because I have a real treat for you today! This week I am teaming up with Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts to bring you some Mother’s Day inspired recipes using delicious dried cranberries. Making these cookies is rather like going back in time for me! This is one of my mother’s recipes that my family have enjoyed for as long as I can remember. (Even now, if you were to have a peek in her biscuit tin there is a good chance you would find some of these inside.) There was often a block of almond tart tucked in my lunchbox or gobbled up as an afternoon treat after school.
