Easter treats recipe round up

I’ve been so looking forward to this Easter weekend and a chance to slow down, catch my breath for a few days and enjoy time with my family. We’re keeping things very simple this year without all the fuss and frills, but there will still be plenty of treats to enjoy. I decided to put together a round up of decadent Easter dishes that you can make over the coming weekend.

Easter nest cupcakes

Pretty to look at and fun to make, these are a must try over the Easter season. (Watch the video here.)

Chocolate Simnel cake

My chocolate version of the traditional Simnel cake, with a marzipan layer in the middle and a decadent dark chocolate ganache topping.

Easter krispie treats

These easy no-bake treats can be whipped up in a jiffy and are sure to be a hit!

Coconut and pistachio chocolate bark

Give the Easter bunny a run for his money with this homemade triple chocolate bark topped with pistachios and toasted coconut, so good!

Classic hot cross buns

One of my favourite Easter treats and these tick all the right boxes – soft, fruity and spicy!

Hot cross bun bliss balls

And speaking of hot cross buns, how about a snack inspired by this treat? Made with dried fruit and nuts, these bliss balls are a fantastic make-ahead snack to keep in the fridge.

Lemon Easter cookies

Kids and adults alike will enjoy baking and decorating these fun cookies. The best part is enjoying them afterwards, they are scrumptious!

Cheesecake swirl Easter brownies

For a true Easter splurge try these rich and gooey brownies with a cheesecake swirl, chocolate malt balls and speckled eggs.

Double chocolate Easter buns

My chocolate twist on one of my favourite brioche dough recipes. The dough is lovely to work with and you’ll have fun assembling these chocolatey buns.

Mini Simnel Easter cakes

These cute little cakes are baked in tin cans and adorned with marzipan, a pretty addition to your Easter table.

Chocolate hot cross bun loaf

This rustic sticky loaf is layered with chocolate spread and dotted with dried fruit. It’s the perfect baking project while you have some extra time over the long weekend.

Hazelnut, cranberry and pistachio chocolate bark

This pretty chocolate bark makes a lovely homemade Easter gift – it’s almost like making edible art. Customise the toppings and have fun with it.

Nutella thumb cookies

Double the chocolate, double the yum! These are a twist on a nostalgic childhood recipe.
