2 Minute microwave hot fudge sauce

Sauce being poured over a stack of flapjacks

Mention the words “hot fudge sauce” and immediately I think of rich, chocolatey deliciousness. This quick recipe is perfect for dessert emergencies or spontaneous chocolate cravings, and in my opinion is better than store-bought sauce. I remember making a similar recipe as a child and drizzling the sauce over vanilla ice cream – the best! So, it was time to recreate that food memory and I’m so pleased with the results.

This particular sauce is made in the microwave and will come together in minutes – speed and ease is the name of the game here. The sauce is thick, rich and glossy, totally lush! You’ll love this recipe for how quick it is to prepare and its decadent chocolatinesss.

Spoon your hot fudge sauce over ice cream, waffles, pancakes and brownies. Swirl it into yoghurt or drizzle it into milkshakes and parfaits. You could even enjoy it as a decadent dip for fresh strawberries. For a grown-up version mix in a tablespoon of your favourite liqueur.  If your mouth isn’t watering by now then we may need to have a chat about your dessert priorities. 😉

Store any leftover sauce in a sealed container in the fridge. It will thicken as it cools, but can be gently reheated to make it pourable again. If you like the sound of this you’ll also love these small batch chocolate liqueur brownies or these saucy chocolate and coconut puddings. Don’t forget to tag me when you try the recipes, happy cooking!
