Gingerbread waffles

The holiday season is just about in full swing and what better way to celebrate than with some festive treats! Waffles are a firm foodie favourite and this gingerbread version is inspired by the flavours of Christmas.

I’m thinking that these babies would be perfect as a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day brekkie for the family. They’re quick to whip up and totally scrumptious drizzled with some honey and topped with handfuls of fresh berries. And don’t worry if you don’t have a waffle machine – simply cook heaped tablespoons of the batter in a pan and make gingerbread pancakes instead!

Guys, I’ve got not one but TWO more fabulous Christmas recipes coming up before I take a little break over Christmas and New Year. So do check back for those, or simply subscribe if you haven’t done so yet to ensure that you don’t miss a single dish.

Cook’s tip – If you don’t have a waffle maker simply cook the batter in a pan and make gingerbread hot cakes instead.
