You know when you are invited to a night out with the Entertainer crew you are in for a good time, and their 2018 launch earlier this month did not disappoint. Bloggers and influencers were invited to a night of food and laughter at the Cape Town Comedy Club at the V&A Waterfront to celebrate the launch of The Entertainer’s 2018 offerings and what a great evening it was!
The venue for this years event was the Cape Town Comedy Club. I have walked past the venue many times on day trips to the Waterfront but have never actually been inside (*hangs head*) so I was thrilled to have an opportunity to go. On arrival we spotted the Fitch & Leedes gin bar which judging by the queue was very popular with the guests! We were treated to beer, wine and snacks before our MC, the hilarious Mel Jones, took to the stage.
The first act of the night was the very funny Khanyiso Kenqa who had us laughing all the way to dinner (burgers, yum!). Then it was time for the headline act, none other than Rob Van Vuuren who had us just about falling off our bar stools with his side-splitting observations of Metrorail, bloggers and his ribbing of some poor chap near the front named Zane, ai shame. After the comedy acts there was time for a spot of dessert and some mingling before hubby and I headed home, our fabulous goodie bags in hand. Not too shabby for a Monday night I say!
